Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a grey-top (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride) tube(s) 1 hour after completing a meal consisting of a minimum of 300 g of carbohydrates. Spin down and send 1 mL of potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride plasma refrigerated.
