Specimen Requirements

Specimen accepted Monday through Friday between 0800 to 1000.

Specimen must arrive within 1 hour of collection.

1. Obtain a Semen Analysis Kit and instructions for collection from physician or laboratory prior to collecting specimen.  An instruction sheet is available on this site.
2. Submit entire ejaculate in a screw-capped, sterile container.
3. Maintain sterility and forward promptly at body temperature only. Do not allow specimen to become chilled.
Note:  1. Patient should have 2 to 3 days of sexual abstinence at time of semen collection for accurate results.

2. Recommend collection at hospital laboratory.
